Associate' s degree in related discipline or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. The education requirement will be verified
This person will maintain the health of the equipment in the lab. This includes coordinating support for troubleshooting, performing inventory of equipment, researching and recommending replacement parts and performing system administration functions. This position will require a candidate who can work on multiple on-going programs. The job will require travel.
Additional Job Duties:
- Fix cables
- Pack equipment per Special Packaging Instructions and work closely with shipping
- Support parts inventory
- Support parts research
- Troubleshoot issues with VAX system
- Assist with set up the Charon VAX
- Setting up protocol analyzer for testing
- Perform STE transfer of data from STE to PC to VAX and vice versa
- Research of any upgraded of equipment or SW application the lead engineer requests
- Liaison to staff at Dedham, MA facility
Background & Experience Required:
- 5+ years of experience in maintaining a lab
- Troubleshooting equipment issues
- Experience with using protocol analyzers
- Performing system level testing
- Ability to read schematics/drawings
- Some software experience is a plus
