Job Description
Applicant will be designing electrical wiring harnesses to include component selection for connectors, backshells, sleeving, braiding, sealants, boots, transitions, etc.

Bachelor' s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Computer Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 7 years of relevant post graduate work.

This assignment is a US Government Contract which requires all applicants to be US Citizens.
NO SUBCONTRACT REQUIREMENT:

Responsibilities:
- Determining harness layout through vehicle and branch points for multi-branch harnesses
- Designing to environmental requirements for temperature, shock, vibration, submergence and exposure to harsh chemicals
- Designing harnesses in Capital Harness System (CHS) (aka Mentor Graphics) software, working specifically in Harness XC, Capital Logic and Capital Topology
Secondary Tasks:
- Working with CAD draftsman to route harnesses in 3D CAD tools (Pro-E and/or NX)
- Working with CAD draftsman to develop released drawings for harnesses, electrical installations, wiring diagrams, etc.
- Working with systems engineers to define whole vehicle pin-level interconnect
- Working with physical architects to define harness routing channels, space claims
Position Requirements:
- Ability to balance cost/schedule/technical priorities.
- Occasional overtime and weekend hours may be required to complete critical tasks.
- Experience with Microsoft Visio desirable.
- Experience with Capital Harness System (CHS) (aka Mentor Graphics) software, specifically in Harness XC, Capital Logic and Capital Topology is desirable.
- Experience with Pro-E Creo desirable.
- Experience with NX desirable.
- Basic proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to use Engineering Development and Test Tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong multi-tasking skills.
- Strong record keeping skills.
- Must be able to obtain a security clearance if necessary.
