Harness Designer
Job Description
Job Summary:
Responsible for the design, development, and integration of complex harness systems for military combat vehicles. This role involves using CAD software to create and manage 3D/2D harness designs, performing requirements analysis, and collaborating with customers and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and manage harnesses using CAD tools (PTC Creo preferred).
- Create and maintain 3D/2D drawings, ensuring compliance with standards like ASME and GD&T.
- Conduct trade studies, troubleshoot issues, and support concurrent engineering activities.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams, ensuring project timelines are met.
- Reverse-engineer designs and resolve manufacturing or quality concerns.
Qualifications:
- Education: ASc in Product Design (or equivalent). BSc in Engineering preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years in harness design and development;familiarity with US Defense programs and standards.
- Skills: Strong CAD knowledge (PTC Creo or equivalent), excellent communication, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
Preferred:
- Experience in military standards and regulations;German language skills a plus.
Pay Range: $80, 000–$90, 000 annually
