Job Description
Position Requirements:
- Must have two (2) or more years of welding experience, or technical training in lieu of experience, working on aluminum and steel parts, working within required tolerances, and able to read welding symbols.
- Prefer maintenance or mechanic experience working on tracked vehicles
- Able to maintain welding certifications or to obtain certifications as required, including but not limited to certifying in horizontal, vertical up and out-of-position
- Skilled welder, familiar with field welding on aluminum and steel parts, working to required tolerances using welding metals and metal alloys
- Must be able to gain and maintain access to all military installations in which the work is performed
- Able to secure and maintain a Secret Security Clearance and United States Passport
- Must be willing to travel within the United States to perform welding tasks in the field when required
- Must be able to work independently and be an integral member of the Retrofit Team
- Must have a valid State Driver's License and be able to obtain a military license
- Required to work at various heights, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, able to climb, to work in enclosed spaces - often in awkward positions, extreme temperatures and dusty environments
