Job Description

Position: Lockout/Tagout Equipment Surveyor
Salary: $28 - $38 per Hour
Location: Clinton Township

Compensation: Overtime, Medical Insurance (100%), Simple IRA
Employment Type: Full-time
Travel: Average of 15+ days/month
Per Diem: Up to $3000/month (Minus hotel stays)
Extended Travel Bonus:
  • 20 days per month on the road = $300 bonus
  • 25 days per month on the road = $500 bonus
  • Full month on the road = $750 bonus
  • Industries: Automotive, Food & Beverage, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Warehousing, Pharmaceutical, Hospital, Transportation, Steel
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct surveys of customer equipment to determine lockout/tagout requirements.
  • Create diagrams illustrating lockout requirements.
  • Provide necessary graphics and production details for placards and tags.
  • Install placards and tags at customer sites.
  • Travel to customer locations (average of 15+ days/month).
Skills:
  • Prior lockout/tagout experience is a plus, but training will be provided.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and facilities.
  • Familiarity with the 7 primary energies.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Understanding of various piping systems (Water, Steam, Chemical, etc.).
  • Electrical background is important.
  • Previous experience as a machine tool/automation builder is advantageous.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using MS Word and Excel.
