Job Description


Job Summary:
Our client seeks a Maintainability Engineer at their Troy, MI, office to support lifecycle sustainment programs for military combat and tactical vehicle systems. This role focuses on planning system lifecycle sustainment and ensuring readiness and cost considerations are integrated into acquisition, development, production, fielding, support, and disposal activities for combat vehicles.

Essential Functions:
  • Conduct engineering design analysis for maintainability/supportability.
  • Perform Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) Analysis.
  • Conduct Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) and develop related product support data, including Maintenance Concept, Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), Maintenance Allocation Chart (MAC), and Logistics Support Analysis Reports.
  • Develop Logistics Support Analysis Records and deliver integrated product support data in line with Military and Industry Standards.
  • Support military system lifecycle sustainment planning.

Supervisory Experience:
None.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Expertise in defense industry logistics support analysis and management information data.
  • Familiarity with defense system technical manual development and its integration with LSA and LMI data.
  • Knowledge of defense acquisition and supply support/supply chain management.
  • Proficiency in logistics support analysis, LORA, and MTA.
  • Working knowledge of DoD system design tools and technical data package development.

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.

Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in DoD system design analysis for maintainability/supportability, logistics support analysis, and product support/ILS data development.

Background Prerequisites:
  • Must meet company standards for background checks, employment verification, reference checks, and controlled substance testing.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • DAU Lifecycle Logistics Certification.
  • Experience with configuration management processes as part of the product lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems such as Teamcenter.
  • 6 Sigma certification.
  • Multi-disciplinary technical skills for engaging cross-functional teams.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Up to 10% travel required, including potential OCONUS travel.
