Job Description


Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Pay: $30 per hour
Schedule: Day Shift | Monday to Friday | 5: 00 a.M. To 1: 30 p.M.

About the Role
Well-established Grand Rapids manufacturer seeking a Maintenance Technician to support day shift operations through equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Strong electrical troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Hands-on PLC troubleshooting experience, specifically with Allen Bradley systems

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control diagrams

  • Ability to stand, bend, or twist for up to 80 percent of the shift

  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds

  • Comfortable working in a hot or humid manufacturing environment

Preferred Skills

  • Trade school, technical certification, or relevant college coursework

  • Experience troubleshooting motors, drives, sensors, and control panels

  • Preventive maintenance experience on industrial manufacturing equipment

  • Forklift operation experience

  • Basic computer, math, and communication skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production and facility equipment

  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and PLC-related issues on manufacturing equipment

  • Diagnose and resolve Allen Bradley PLC and control system issues to minimize downtime

  • Support equipment installations, upgrades, and system improvements

  • Complete hoist, pump, and general equipment maintenance

  • Perform basic building, plumbing, and mechanical repairs as needed

  • Follow lock-out tag-out procedures and applicable safety protocols

  • Support ISO 14001 EMS and ISO 9001 QMS requirements, including participation in internal audits

  • Maintain compliance with OSHA and internal safety standards
