Manager, Engineering Excellence
Location: Serling Heights MI
Salary: 160K-170K

 

Position Overview:
The Manager of Engineering Excellence drives the development and improvement of engineering processes, design standards, and best practices. This role collaborates with all engineering levels and global Rheinmetall units, ensuring consistency and high-quality engineering output.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Enhance engineering processes, design standards, and best practices.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for engineering staff.
  • Maintain the engineering SharePoint site for content sharing.
  • Track and report engineering performance KPIs.
  • Lead technical presentations and communicate updates to senior management.
  • Mentor engineers and foster a culture of growth.
  • Collaborate with global teams for consistency and innovation.
  • Support customer relationships and proposal development.

Qualifications:

  • Required:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems) or related field.
    • 10+ years of defense industry experience, including vehicle design and production.
    • Familiarity with U.S. DoD ground vehicle requirements.
    • Strong technical leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

  • Preferred:
    • Active Secret Clearance.
    • Experience scaling engineering teams in dynamic environments.

Additional Details:
  • Salary: $160, 000 - $170, 000.
  • Travel: Up to 25%, with occasional trips to Europe.
