Manufacturing Engineering Manager
Location: Plymouth, MI
Salary: $110, 000 - $140, 000
Direct Hire with excellent benefit package

Role Description: We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to oversee and enhance production processes, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have experience in Automotive, stamping, welding, assembly processes, automated placement systems, and mechanical assembly, along with a solid understanding of electronic product introduction and development.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive improvements in manufacturing processes, products, equipment, and quality.
  • Manage metrics, financials, staffing, leadership, and strategic development.
  • Increase productivity and reduce costs through process enhancements.
  • Maintain and improve production efficiency, cycle times, and capacity.
  • Lead technical teams to meet quality and production goals.
  • Design processes and drive solutions for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and support new manufacturing processes and analyze project feasibility.
  • Determine capital equipment needs and manage budget processes.
  • Prepare procedures, reports, and plans for process improvements.
  • Lead defect reduction initiatives and set departmental goals.

Work Environment:

Physical Demands:
  • Standing, walking, and sitting with occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years of industry experience with hands-on experience.
  • Proficiency in office software and CAD tools.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with World Class Manufacturing processes and quality management systems.
