Manufacturing Information Technology Engineer
Job Description
- Hands-on IT technical background and understanding of manufacturing execution and related business processes required.
- Knowledge of Computer-Aided Process Planning and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), particularly iBaseT Solumina, is essential.
- General familiarity with ERP/MRP Systems is necessary.
- Ability to analyze and diagnose the root cause of bugs or issues within software systems beyond documenting trouble tickets.
- Proficiency in writing and understanding queries in Structured Query Language (SQL) and familiarity with Oracle RDBMS required.
- Responsible for maintaining and developing J2EE applications supporting manufacturing operations.
- Ability to understand and author solutions using Java, SQL, JSP, MVC, and other relevant technologies.
- General understanding of plant capabilities desired.
- Support proposal development on Manufacturing-related IT solutions.
- Participate in manufacturing and divisional process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications Sought:
- Undergraduate degree in Engineering/IT-related fields (or equivalent) required;additional graduate-level degrees and relevant work experience are a plus.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar role preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a flexible and ever-changing manufacturing environment supporting a variety of products and processes.
