Boiler Operator
Job Description
We’re seeking an experienced Boiler Operator to join our facilities maintenance team. Candidates with limited experience are welcome if you have completed a training program and are familiar with boiler systems, repair, and maintenance. The primary focus of this role is preventative maintenance and water treatment, with opportunities to perform pipe repairs—welding experience is a plus. All applicants must hold a valid Boiler Operator license.
Pay: $36.96/hour
Schedule: Rotating 12-hour overnight shifts (7: 00pm–7: 00am)
Type: Full-time | Direct Hire
What You Bring
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a boiler apprenticeship or training program
- Active Boiler Operator License (required)
- Welding experience preferred but not required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Physical stamina for hands-on maintenance work
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain high- and low-pressure boilers
- Conduct compression and safety tests
- Perform water sampling and treatment
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks
- Perform minor pipe repairs as needed
- Replace worn parts, including valves and filters
- Document work performed and communicate with facilities management
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to stand, walk, lift, and handle tools or materials
- Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including occasional lifting and bending
