Materials Analyst / Expeditor (Temp-to-Perm)
Location: Onsite –Morgan Hill, CA
Pay: $50, 000 –$80, 000 (based on experience)
Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm
Position Overview
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Materials Analyst / Expeditor to support production flow and supply chain operations. This role is critical to ensuring materials arrive on time, orders are accurately tracked, and potential delays are addressed proactively. The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicates effectively across teams, and is comfortable working in an ERP/MRP system within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor open purchase and production orders to ensure on-time delivery
- Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to expedite delayed orders
- Follow up on order acknowledgments, lead times, and shipment schedules
- Identify potential supply chain risks and escalate issues proactively
- Coordinate closely with purchasing, production, logistics, and warehouse teams
- Update ERP/MRP systems with order status, delivery dates, and notes
- Track backorders, shortages, and partial shipments
- Support inventory planning by ensuring materials arrive as scheduled
- Prepare reports on order status, supplier performance, and delays
- Assist in resolving discrepancies related to quantities, pricing, or delivery
- Prior experience in materials, purchasing, expediting, or supply chain preferred
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a manufacturing environment
- Comfortable working onsite in Morgan Hill
