Our client located in Jackson MI, is seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer with supervisory experience to lead and contribute to the design, development, and improvement of mechanical and electromechanical systems. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, managing design documentation, and ensuring product excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Design: Create and update components/assemblies using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Cost Optimization: Design components cost-effectively and improve existing designs.
- Issue Resolution: Address and resolve field installation issues and engineering changes.
- Documentation Management: Oversee revisions of designs, BOMs, and manufacturing instructions.
- Team Leadership: Guide the Mechanical Engineering team, fostering a focus on quality and efficiency.
- Support Manufacturing: Provide hands-on assistance during product builds and troubleshoot issues.
- Special Projects: Execute initiatives related to product development, manuals, and sales support.
- Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Experience in mechanical/electromechanical product design.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Adaptable to office, manufacturing, and customer environments;occasional travel required (up to 50%).
