Mechanical Engineer
Location: Quincy, MA
Employment Type: Full-Time | Hours: 40 hrs/week, Mon–Fri
Pay Range: $62.40 per hour
About the Role
Join our client’s Autonomous Maritime Platforms team as a Mechanical Engineer, where you will design and develop advanced subsea systems and vehicles. You will work within a cross-functional team to deliver innovative, mission-driven solutions while supporting the development of next-generation autonomous technology.
Key Responsibilities
•Design and develop mechanical systems for autonomous subsea platforms
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system design and integration
•Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) in engineering designs
•Support prototyping and assembly of new systems
•Drive projects from concept through production with innovative design solutions
Required Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field;or Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience
•5+ years of mechanical engineering experience (with Bachelor’s degree)
•Proficiency with SolidWorks MCAD and PTC Windchill PDM software
•Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles
•U.S. Citizenship required (government contract requirement)
Preferred Qualifications
•Background in undersea domain engineering
•Knowledge of autonomous/unmanned undersea vehicle (AUV/UUV) technologies
•Hands-on experience assembling prototype systems
•Creative thinker with ability to design from concept to production
•Commitment to professional growth and knowledge sharing
