A Structure and Survivability Design Engineer is needed to  support the  design and development of ground combat vehicle structures, armor and spall liner.
Specific work would include  some of  the following efforts:

-Design of weld joints for steel and aluminum structures

-Develop engineering design concepts via CAD software

-Design of structures, appendages, armor and spall liner for various military vehicle platforms

-Work with design services (drafting) to create detailed drawings

-Provide technical support to other engineering organizations

-Address manufacturing, procurement and field problem reports

-Present design concepts and program status to functional and program management

Education:
Required B.S. In Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of two  years applicable experience.
   
Skills:
-Self starter, highly motivated individual

-Knowledge of welding and metal fab desired

-Extensive knowledge of model and drawing creation required

-Knowledge of GD&T required

-Experience using Pro/e, Unigraphics or other 3-D CAD software required

-Knowledge of ballistic threats and basic principles of armor design desired

-Must be Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint)

-Occasional travel may be necessary

-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required
