CPI is hiring a Network LAN Specialist on a contract basis for our large defense industry client in Scottsdale, AZ.   Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. Citizenship is required

Education Requirements:
Bachelor' s degree in computer science or related field; or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master' s degree.  Education requirement will be verified.
  • A key contributor supporting the network environment such as routers, switches, circuits, firewalls, wireless, intrusion prevention devices, etc.
  • Participates as an active team member to be knowledgeable within the different elements of the networking environment
  • Independently identifies tasks or projects that need to be done and effectively prioritizes time to complete multiple assignments
  • Transforms basic designs into solutions that present low impact to business operations
  • Participates actively in contributing to the team and works with clients to develop and evaluate solutions by analyzing business needs and impact
  • Conducts project planning, cost analysis and vendor comparisons
  • Holds ownership by identifying alternatives in the midst of barriers to progress
  • Supports continuous improvement initiative
  • Participates in on-call rotation for after hours support.
  • 2+ year' s working as a Network Engineer.
  • Must possess routers, switches, circuits, firewalls, wireless, intrusion prevention devices, etc.
  • Must have solid experience Implementing/Supporting/Monitoring/Troubleshooting physical and virtual network infrastructure components network issues,
