Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Program Coordinator

Location: Lansing, MI

Salary: $90, 000 - $110, 000 per year

Summary:

Our Client is seeking a skilled NDT Program Manager to oversee our non-destructive testing (NDT) program for a multi-site organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing and inspecting products at various stages of the production process, with a focus on non-destructive testing methods. This role involves setting up and operating Magnetic Particle Inspection (MT), Ultrasonic (UT), Penetrant Testing (PT), and Radiographic Testing (RT) equipment.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Review part prints, procedures, and work instructions to complete testing.
  • Manage the NDT Program and supervise Level II and Level I inspectors.
  • Prepare, review, and coordinate the approval of techniques for MT, UT, PT, and RT.
  • Coordinate activities with outside NDT vendors for subcontract work.
  • Organize training and testing for Level I and Level II inspectors, covering MT, UT, PT, and RT.
  • Research and specify NDT equipment for new acquisitions.
  • Set up and perform non-destructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.
  • Ensure equipment operates correctly.
  • Ensure compliance with the process for the Control of Records and Document Control Process.

  • Adherence to Policy: Follow quality environmental policies and have knowledge of AS9100 and IS14001.
  • Adherence to Safety: Adhere to safety procedures, security protocols, and wear proper PPE.

Education and/or Experience:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. Required.
  • Minimum one year of practical experience.
  • Prior Level II experience in a combination of disciplines (MT, PT, UT & RT) in a manufacturing environment is required.
