CPI is hiring a Paint Production Associate Level I on a contract basis for our large government defense industry client in Wortham, TX. This assignment is a US Government Contract which requires all applicants to be US Citizens. No third-party applicants will be considered.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
  • Sprays surfaces of machines, manufactured products, or working area with protective or decorative material such as paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat, or lacquer.
  • Prepares surfaces appropriately prior to painting
  • Conducts daily cleanup of equipment and work area to ensure proper work area painting environment requirements
  • Interacts with employees and managers within the department
  • Works under close supervision
  • Normally receives detailed instructions on work

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • General knowledge and understanding of paint specifications for required finishes
  • General knowledge of dry booth painting
  • General knowledge of proper surface preparation prior to painting
  • General knowledge of painting equipment used
  • Good interpersonal skills to cooperate and work effectively with others
  • Ability to understand drawings, work orders and BOMs
  • Ability to evaluate work conditions and quality of work produced
  • Ability to work with multiple coating systems
  • Basic computer skills.
Education Requirement:
High School degree or the equivalent is required. All education requirements will be verified in  order for the incumbent to start this opportunity.
