Power Systems Engineer –Maritime and Strategic Systems
Location: McLeansville, NC
Employment Type: Full-Time | On-Site or Flex/Hybrid (local candidates only)

About the Role
As a Systems Engineer supporting our client’s Maritime and Strategic Systems division, you will join a cross-functional team developing next-generation undersea solutions in the Seaborne Platform Systems area. This role will expose you to concept development, rapid prototyping, hardware test, and trade study efforts while working alongside industry partners and high-performing engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support concept development activities including White Papers, Trade Studies, and rapid prototyping/test

  • Lead requirements decomposition and support system-level requirements through test strategy, planning, and execution

  • Participate in hands-on test execution and reporting for undersea and mechanical systems

  • Provide technical contributions across the systems development life cycle, from early concept through validation

  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on programs of varying size and complexity

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field

  • 5+ years of relevant experience (or Master’s degree plus 3 years)

  • Agile development experience preferred

  • Department of Defense Secret clearance required at time of hire

  • U.S. Citizenship required

  • Background in mechanical systems;undersea experience is a strong plus

  • Strong requirements management and test planning skills

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with undersea hardware including cables, cable handling equipment, and other mechanical systems

  • Creative thinker motivated to develop new concepts and solutions

  • Experience supporting all phases of the systems engineering lifecycle

  • Ability to contribute effectively on small studies and large program teams alike
