Job Description

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership in FORD+ (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding and communication skills. The ideal candidate will have previous engineering and/or manufacturing operations experience as well as Microsoft Office proficiency. You will also provide onsite support for new program launch at Ford’ s Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne, MI.
 
This position interfaces with a cross-functional team including Marketing, Manufacturing, New Model Launch, Export/ Homologation, Finance, Engineering, PPM, Capacity Planning, Vehicle Integration. You will be joining existing members of the 24 Model Year program management team to play a significant leadership role in the launch of a new program at Ford Motor Company’ s Michigan Assembly Plant located in Wayne, Michigan.
 
Onsite for all pre-builds through launch in the fall of 2023, you will affect every aspect of how this product is built and offered to our dealers and customers! We are excited to find the right person to join us for this experience as we launch the next installment of Ford’ s already great vehicle line up; get some launch experience along the way and let' s not forget - have a great time doing it!
 
Experience Required:
  • Previous engineering or manufacturing operations experience
  • Demonstrated experience in accomplishing tasks and objectives
  • Proven problem-solving ability
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint)
  • Must be able to demonstrate leadership in FORD+ (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
 
Experience Preferred:
  • Previous automotive and/or product launch experience
  • Knowledge of Program Management workstreams
  • Proficiency in use of problem-solving tools (Six Sigma, DOE, 8D, 5 Why, etc.)
 
Education Required:
Bachelor’ s degree in STEM field.
 
Education Preferred:
Engineering (Electrical, Systems, Computer Science)
 
Additional Information:
Launch position will be Full-Time On-Site work at specified Assembly Plant.

This assignment is a US Government Contract which requires all applicants to be US Citizens.
