Procurement Associate
Location: Sterling Heights, MI
Pay: $30–$33/hour
Clearance: Ability to Obtain Secret | U.S. Citizenship Required

Overview:
Seeking a Procurement Associate to manage supplier relationships, purchasing activities, and subcontract administration in a fast-paced defense environment. This role focuses on RFQs/RFPs, cost analysis, negotiations, and supplier performance to support critical programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage subcontracts and purchase orders (fixed price & cost reimbursement)
  • Prepare and issue RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs
  • Perform cost/price analysis and proposal evaluations
  • Lead supplier negotiations (pricing, terms, conditions)
  • Administer purchase orders and monitor supplier performance
  • Analyze MRP requirements and Oracle system data
  • Coordinate source selection and supplier reviews
  • Serve as liaison between suppliers, engineering, and program teams
  • Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and timelines

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
  • Experience with procurement, purchasing, or supply chain functions
  • Strong cost analysis and negotiation skills
  • Experience with Oracle and/or MRP systems
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:
  • Experience in defense or government contracting
  • Familiarity with subcontract administration and compliance requirements
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office tools

Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
  • Willingness to travel (domestic and occasional international)
