Product Engineer General
ADAS – Customer Experience Owner Engineer This position focuses on developing and ensuring the feature delivers the expectations of the customer. You will develop and implement feature/experience strategies, requirements, and specifications at a system and sub-system level and validate them according to the systems engineering model. As an ADAS Experience Engineer, you will collaborate with research engineers, human centered design teams, and hardware/software developers to create the requirements for these advanced and autonomous systems. You will also collaborate with the feature teams on new verification methods and work with vehicle, hardware-in-the-loop, model-in-the-loop and other advanced testing methodologies to validate the experience. • Collaborate with research and strategy teams to design, research, and develop ADAS features and prepare them for program implementation • Lead the design, development and creation for new ADAS feature experiences • Lead the development of Feature Experience Specifications, creation of robust process disciplines, and design validation plans • Develop & refine vehicle level feature concepts, uses cases, interfaces, and feature level specifications to ensure production feature delivery of experiences • Establish Feature Experience objectives through Human Center Design Approach and ensure feature meets the end-user/customer objectives through a structured system level test methodology • Ensure new features seamlessly integrate with existing features to provide a superb customer experience • Assure that the integration of affected systems meet the requirements for proper feature-level experience • Design validation methods to ensure feature robustness across all vehicle environmental conditions and customer usage • Cross-functional view of ADAS feature to ensure that the modular strategy is integrated to meet the needs of our downstream customers • Benchmark competitors and monitor public domain requirements
• Experience applying machine learning to robotics and image processing • Understanding of typical automotive interfaces: CAN, CANFD, Autosar, Auto-Ethernet, etc. • Understanding of Functional Safety (ISO 26262) & Failure Mode Avoidance • Experience with rapid prototyping
1+ year of experience working with features in the Driver Assistance domain using radars, cameras, LIDARS, ultrasonic sensors or other related vehicle systems (examples: body, electrical, chassis, powertrain)
• Experience applying Systems Engineering and developing system requirements
• 1+ years in experience in authoring new requirements/specifications
• 1+ years of experience with model based design: Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow
Bachelor' s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science or related degree
Master' s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science or related degree
