Product Engineer Powertrain
" Own all aspects of the Powertrain Mounting System
" Lead cross-functional teams including Ford Product Development, Purchasing, Finance, Vehicle Operations and suppliers to deliver PT mount designs that meet system and vehicle requirements for safety, durability, package, NVH, shift quality, vehicle dynamics, VO assembly, service, cost, timing, etc.
" Interface with other sub-system D&R engineers and with basic design and suppliers to ensure compatibility between package, mount attributes/characteristics, and component durability on an ongoing basis
" Develop PT mount program specific foundation documents such as DVP&R, DFMEA, PFMEA and all program-specific foundation documents
" Generate and implement cost/weight reduction ideas while maintaining functional requirements
" Co-author Engineering Specification documentation for release in WERS
" Develop Prevent Recurrence Actions for existing mount issues
" Must be able to incorporate the business/timing aspects of decisions into the technical aspect
" Track issues and drive to closure
Minimum 3 years powertrain components design and release experience
Bachelors degree in Engineering
Masters degree in Engineering
