Product Engineer Powertrain
The Fuel Systems department is looking for Design and Release PD Engineer in Powertrain with some product design work experience (minimum 2-3 years). Experience in automotive/powertrain engineering is desired; further, Fuel Systems (Diesel, Petrol or alt fuel) experience is preferred but not required. Candidate will be expected to take on complex engineering/analytical tasks and communicate well across a spectrum of people from fellow engineers up to and including upper management. Solid engineering, analytical and communication skills required to be able to cover all aspects of D&R responsibilities from supplier selection, managing all of fuel systems program deliverables through milestones and launch while working within financial and weight targets. It is critical that candidates have strong engineering problem solving skills, understanding of failure mode avoidance, product testing & validation, and understand how to conduct root cause analysis. Individual will be expected to develop and analyze design alternatives and ultimately execute program selected direction, support trade-off analysis for upfront components design with attributes and performance taken into account. Lead issues resolution; understand the steps required to identify the root cause and close design, development and build related issues. It is critical that the candidate possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in order to present issues and issue resolution plans to management and program teams. It will be expected that the engineer will lead in the building of a technically strong organization, develop processes that promote timely delivery of system and competent designs with robust performance. It is expected that candidates possess engineering passion and motivation/ability to be a self-starter.
