Product Owner (SAFe) - Embedded Software Engineer
Location: Ft. Wayne, IN
Employment Type: Full-Time | Contractual | Hours: 40 hrs/week, Mon–Fri
About the Role
Join our client as a Product Owner for embedded software projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and drive successful software delivery. You will manage the product backlog, facilitate SAFe ceremonies, and work closely with stakeholders to continuously improve mission-critical software solutions. This role offers the chance to lead innovative projects in a fast-paced, technology-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
·Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and priorities
·Create and manage the product backlog to align with business objectives
·Participate in SAFe ceremonies, including PI Planning, to ensure smooth project execution
·Work closely with stakeholders to gather feedback and continuously improve the product
·Monitor progress and adjust priorities to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality software
·Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable tasks
Required Qualifications
·Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM field
·5+ years of job-related experience, or Master’s degree plus 3 years of experience
·2–3 years of experience as a Product Owner, preferably in embedded software
·Strong understanding of SAFe principles and practices
·Proficiency in C, C++, and C#
·Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS)
·Excellent communication and collaboration skills
·U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Department of Defense Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
·Experience with embedded systems and software development
·SAFe certification or relevant training
·Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
·Domain experience in RF, GPS, and Navigation system development and integration
·Passion for technology and innovation
