Pay Range: Up to $54.91/hourly About the Role
Our client is seeking a Program Lab Facilities Coordinator to support the standup, maintenance, and operation of development and test laboratories supporting advanced cybersecurity programs for U.S. Navy submarine systems. This role combines hands-on hardware integration, laboratory management, facilities coordination, asset tracking, and test support. The ideal candidate will have strong technical aptitude, excellent organizational skills, and experience supporting complex engineering and test environments.
Responsibilities
  • Assemble and configure test racks, servers, switches, KVMs, and related hardware
  • Install and organize internal and external cabling within laboratory environments
  • Build and configure servers using COTS and GOTS software
  • Manage equipment accountability, asset tracking, and property movement for both government and company-owned equipment
  • Support planning and setup of new laboratory spaces, including power, cooling, layout, and infrastructure requirements
  • Generate Bills of Material (BOMs) and coordinate hardware procurement activities
  • Track hardware orders and monitor supplier lead times
  • Troubleshoot hardware failures and coordinate repair, replacement, and RMA activities with vendors
  • Conduct informal and formal testing activities to validate system requirements
  • Support installation, checkout, testing, and troubleshooting of Information Assurance (IA) software
  • Analyze requirements documentation and develop validation methods and test approaches
  • Assist with development of test plans, procedures, and test reports
  • Communicate project and program issues to management as needed
  • Support laboratory operations in both classified and unclassified environments
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or Technology Degree in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field, plus 5+ years of relevant experience;or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience assembling, configuring, and testing computer hardware and networking equipment
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, and encryption technologies
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Basic Linux command-line experience
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Experience with hardware integration, laboratory environments, or test facilities
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Submarine Combat Control or Weapons System experience
  • Cybersecurity education, certification, or professional experience
  • Ability to read and understand C, C++, or Java source code
  • Experience supporting cybersecurity or defense-related programs
  • Experience developing test documentation and supporting formal test events
Clearance Requirements
  • Active Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance required at time of hire
  • U.S. Citizenship required
