Job Title: Project Architect
Location: Columbus, OH
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $100K - $120, 000 (Experience Dependent)
Our client: Is a leading architectural and engineering firm headquartered in Columbus, with additional offices in Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Pittsburgh. Established in 1990
Essential Function: The Architect will be responsible for the production and coordination of documents throughout each phase of individual projects. Additionally, they may perform Project Manager functions on smaller scale projects as assigned, reporting directly to the Project Manager. This position will supervise Designers and/or Intern Architects and will assist the Project Manager in training and mentoring junior staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited NAAB program
- 5+ years of full-time experience
- Registered Architect or on track for registration
Responsibilities:
- Design, detailing, and specification writing for assigned projects
- Construction administration and mentoring of junior staff
- Maintain client relationships and ensure compliance with CAD standards
- Coordinate with subconsultants and internal teams
- Regularly communicate project status to Project Manager
- Conduct building code analysis and assist in project scheduling
Special Requirements:
- Proficient in Autocad (minimum) and preferably Revit
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Physically capable of performing job activities including climbing ladders and stairs
