Job Description

Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Scheduler II in Sterling Heights, MI, to support project and program development schedules for defense-related initiatives. This role plays a key part in executing DoD-funded projects, ensuring compliance with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles. The position will collaborate with Project Finance and Program Management to develop and maintain DoD-compliant schedules and processes.
Essential Functions
  • Develop and maintain project schedules compliant with DoD guidelines.
  • Support Earned Value Management (EVM) implementation on complex defense programs.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining monthly program dashboards.
  • Work with Control Account Managers (CAM) to develop resource-loaded schedules and performance reporting.
  • Provide training and guidance to project teams to ensure schedule compliance.
  • Assist with managing program baselines and reporting.
  • Travel up to 10%, including occasional trips to Europe.
Supervisory Responsibility
  • None
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in Program Scheduling.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software such as MS Project, Deltek Open Plan, or Primavera.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with DoD contract program scheduling.
  • Knowledge of NDIA PASEG, DoD Integrated Master Plan, and Integrated Master Schedule guidelines.
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Availability for overtime as needed.
