Location: Manassas, VA (Onsite)
Position Type: Contract
Pay Rate: Up to $81/hr.
Position Overview
Contract Professionals, Inc. Is seeking a Senior Advanced DSP Software Engineer to support undersea sensor system development within a classified defense program.
This role focuses on advanced DSP algorithm design, embedded implementation, and performance optimization for high-reliability undersea sensing applications.
Active DoD Secret clearance is required at time of hire.
Key Responsibilities
•Design, develop, and optimize DSP algorithms for undersea sensor systems
•Implement DSP solutions in embedded C/C++ environments
•Perform algorithm analysis and performance optimization
•Integrate DSP solutions with hardware and embedded software teams
•Develop MATLAB models and simulations
•Participate in design and code reviews
•Troubleshoot DSP software and system-level integration issues
•Provide technical leadership and mentorship
Required Qualifications
•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or related Engineering field
•8+ years of DSP software development experience
•Active DoD Secret security clearance
•Strong proficiency in C/C++
•Strong experience with DSP algorithm development
•MATLAB proficiency
•Knowledge of DSP hardware platforms and architectures
•U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
•Experience with RTOS and embedded systems
•Sonar, submarine, or surface ship sensor system experience
•Knowledge of underwater acoustics
•Experience applying machine learning to signal processing
•Oceanographic data analysis experience
