Senior Advanced DSP Systems Engineer
Location: Ft. Wayne, IN

PROJECT/PROGRAM OVERVIEW
As a Senior Advanced DSP Systems Engineer for the Advanced Electronics Systems Engineering team, you will be a key member of a cross-functional group responsible for developing, modeling, and verifying digital signal processing algorithms for RF-based systems. This position provides an opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge technologies supporting our nation’s critical defense capabilities. The selected candidate will collaborate with engineering teams to create, implement, and validate system-level algorithms across multiple domains and platforms.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline.

  • Minimum of 8 years of job-related experience, or a Master’s degree plus 6 years of experience.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance.

  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work performed within our facilities.

  • Agile experience preferred.

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES
Senior Advanced DSP Systems Engineers analyze, design, develop, and test DSP algorithms implemented in hardware and software for RF-based systems.

Primary duties include:

  • Developing and modeling digital signal processing algorithms for RF systems, radar, and communications.

  • Performing system-level requirements analysis, modeling, and performance verification.

  • Conducting fixed-point model conversion for hardware implementation.

  • Supporting software/hardware partitioning and integration efforts.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams on system validation and lab performance testing.

  • Participating in design reviews and ensuring adherence to technical and mission requirements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Expertise in Statistical Signal Processing, Multi-rate Signal Processing, and RF DSP mitigation techniques.

  • Experience developing algorithms using Detection and Estimation Theory, Random Processes, and Information Theory.

  • Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and testing anti-jam systems with spatial beamforming and beam-nulling.

  • Familiarity with STAP, SFAP, or similar anti-jam algorithms;ability to develop multi-channel anti-jam algorithms from a mathematical perspective.

  • Strong proficiency with MATLAB, Simulink, Python, or C/C++.

  • Experience using requirements management and system modeling tools (e.G., DOORS, Cameo).

  • Demonstrated success leading projects through the full systems development life cycle.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
