Job Description

Sr. Advanced Embedded Software Engineer
Location: Orlando, FL
Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract

Are you an experienced software engineer passionate about embedded systems and mission-critical training technologies? In this role, you’ll design, implement, and integrate hardware and embedded software for advanced training devices, contributing to high-impact solutions that support national security initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain embedded software using C and C++
  • Work with firmware on real-time embedded processors and SDKs
  • Utilize development environments such as SEGGER Embedded Studio
  • Integrate software with Nordic and NXP SoCs
  • Participate in Android development for training systems
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers
  • Apply technical standards and methodologies to solve complex engineering challenges
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive projects from concept to completion
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s + 6 years experience acceptable)
  • 8+ years of relevant software engineering experience
  • Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming
  • Experience with real-time embedded processors and SDKs
  • U.S. Citizenship (required)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SEGGER Embedded Studio or similar development environments
  • Familiarity with Nordic and NXP SoCs
  • Experience in Android development
  • Proven ability to mentor or lead junior engineers
  • Knowledge of current technology trends and process improvement initiatives
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to apply creative solutions
Workplace Details
  • This position is hybrid/flex with occasional on-site work in Orlando, FL
  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to government contract requirements
