Senior Engineering Support Specialist –Weapons Launcher Test Engineer
Location: Manassas, VA
Pay: Up to $46/hour
Clearance: Active Secret Required | U.S. Citizenship Required
Overview:
Seeking a Test & Evaluation Engineer to support submarine weapon systems (CWL/MTWS) in a fast-paced DoD environment. This role focuses on system testing, integration, troubleshooting, and technical documentation for mission-critical naval platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform system integration, testing, and validation of weapon launcher systems
- Develop test procedures, test cases, and reports
- Troubleshoot hardware/software/firmware issues and drive resolution
- Support lab and shipboard test events (CONUS/OCONUS travel possible)
- Utilize test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters)
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and DoD teams
- Support installation, configuration, and system verification activities
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s (or equivalent experience) + 2+ years experience
- Active Secret Clearance
- Experience with ONE: AN/BYG-1, AN/BLQ-10, AN/BQQ-10, or Submarine Weapon Launchers
- Strong test, integration, and troubleshooting experience
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals and system operations
Preferred:
- Navy/Submarine background
- Experience with CWL/MTWS systems
- Software testing and scripting knowledge
