About the Role:
Our client is seeking a Senior Quality Inspector to ensure products meet stringent quality, safety, and regulatory standards for advanced defense programs. This position is responsible for inspecting electronic and mechanical assemblies, identifying defects, verifying corrective actions, and supporting quality assurance activities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect parts, materials, assemblies, and equipment to verify compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
- Perform real-time defect evaluation and identify nonconforming materials or products.
- Operate and monitor automated electronic and mechanical test equipment.
- Prepare quality assurance documentation and inspection records.
- Verify implementation of corrective actions and rework activities.
- Perform inspections using electronic and mechanical measurement equipment.
- Ensure compliance with ESD control procedures, workmanship standards, and quality requirements.
- Apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles during inspections.
- Support statistical process control (SPC) and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Interface with engineering, manufacturing, quality teams, and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years of directly related quality inspection experience.
- Associate's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Experience inspecting electronic and mechanical assemblies.
- Knowledge of ESD control, workmanship standards, GD&T, and statistical process control techniques.
- Experience using electronic and mechanical measurement equipment and basic test configurations.
- J-STD-001, J-STD-002, IPC-A-610, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-750, and X-Ray certifications are a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative manufacturing environment.
Clearance Requirements:
- Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance preferred or the ability to obtain one after hire.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
