Software Engineering Lead
Job Description
Location: Sterling Heights, MI
Salary Range: $99, 000 - $155, 000
About the Role:
Lead a team of software engineers to design, develop, and integrate advanced software systems for military combat vehicles. Collaborate on U.S. Army modernization programs, like the XM30 Infantry Combat Vehicle, and contribute to delivering cutting-edge defense technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee software development, testing, and integration.
- Lead team-building, process improvement, and project planning.
- Ensure cybersecurity, software safety, and system performance.
- Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Support prototype development, testing, and system integration.
Minimum Requirements:
- 15+ years of experience in complex U.S. Defense programs.
- Master’s degree in Engineering or related fields.
- Experience with military systems, standards (e.G., C5ISR, MOSA), and software development tools.
- Ability to obtain U.S. SECRET clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD in Engineering or fluency in German.
