Location: Sterling Heights, MI
Salary Range: $165, 000 - $180, 000
US CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENT:
This assignment is a US Government Contract which requires all applicants to be US Citizens.
Role Overview: The Software Manager will lead a team in designing, developing, and integrating software for military combat vehicles. This leadership role involves team building, project management, and overseeing software architecture, development, and integration efforts.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a software team, including project planning and budgeting.

Develop and implement software processes (DevSecOps, Agile).

Oversee vehicle software development, requirements analysis, and cybersecurity architecture.

Ensure software safety design, documentation, and configuration management.
-
Support system integration, testing, and rapid prototyping efforts.

Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to meet project goals.
Qualifications:
-
Education: Master’s in Engineering or related field (PhD preferred).

Experience: 15+ years in software engineering for complex U.S. Defense programs.

Knowledge of military standards, real-time operating systems, and embedded software development.

Proficiency in tools like Jira, Confluence, DOORS, and programming languages such as C++, Python, and Java.

Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
Desired Skills:
-
Familiarity with U.S. DoD vehicle requirements, C5ISR systems, and standards like VICTORY and FACE.

Experience with bus protocols, lab equipment, and advanced algorithms.

German language skills are a plus.
Travel & Physical Requirements:

Travel up to 10%.

Ability to lift 25 lbs and work overtime as needed.
