Job Description
Engineering Software Specialist (Onsite)
The Engineering Software Specialist will integrate vehicle electronic systems, focusing on combat ground vehicle computer system development. Key responsibilities include software development, testing, integration, and troubleshooting across domains such as board support, power management, and diagnostics. This onsite role requires collaboration with systems engineering, project management, and software quality teams, utilizing tools like GIT, Bitbucket, and Eclipse, and working with mixed operating system environments (e.G., Linux, VxWorks, RTOS).
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 5–7+ years’experience with programming (C++, Java, Python), DSP tools, and protocols (CAN, TCP/IP).
- Familiarity with Linux system image build tools (e.G., Yocto) and device drivers.
- Experience in ground combat vehicle architecture, Agile processes, and cybersecurity principles.
Additional Requirements
- US security clearance eligibility.
- Physical ability to work in/around military vehicles and pass confined-space ASR tests.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred experience with GCIA, MOSA, SOSA, and FACE frameworks.
This role offers a dynamic work environment spanning prototypes, labs, manufacturing, and office settings, requiring occasional overtime and a self-starter attitude.
