Our client is seeking a Software Verification Engineer to join their team in Sterling Heights, MI. This role is responsible for developing and executing software test cases, ensuring compliance with requirements, and identifying software defects. The ideal candidate will have experience in software verification and testing methodologies, with a strong technical background in automation and lab equipment.

Our client is seeking a Software Verification Engineer to join their team in Sterling Heights, MI. This role is responsible for developing and executing software test cases, ensuring compliance with requirements, and identifying software defects. The ideal candidate will have experience in software verification and testing methodologies, with a strong technical background in automation and lab equipment.
Essential Functions
- Review requirement specifications for testability and develop test cases.
- Create and execute automated and manual tests, ensuring complete test coverage.
- Identify and diagnose software defects, verifying software correctness.
- Develop test plans, procedures, and reports in compliance with DoD standards.
- Utilize NI and/or dSpace tool suites to develop automated test procedures.
- Work with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, and analyzers.
- Support and adhere to company safety and environmental regulations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Software Test and Verification Manager.

- Experience with NI and/or dSpace tool suites.
- Proficiency in test scripting (C, C++, Python).
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, and logic analyzers.
- Familiarity with U.S. DoD ground vehicle requirements.
- Understanding of military standards and regulations.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.
- Must be able to obtain an active U.S. Security Clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Systems, Software, Aerospace, or Automotive).
- 5+ years of experience in software verification.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Integration Lab Scheduler tools.
- Experience working in a multi-national, corporate environment.
- Must pass background check, employment verification, reference checks, and controlled substance testing.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government security clearance if required.
- Experience with physical testing and HIL/SIL systems.
- Ability to speak German is a plus.
- Master’s degree in Engineering preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
