Job Title: Stowage & Mounting Engineer –Military Ground Vehicles

Pay Rate: $44.64 –$51.78/hour

Position Overview
Contract Professionals, Inc. Is seeking a Stowage & Mounting Engineer to support the design and release of mechanical components and subsystems for military ground vehicle programs. This role focuses on shock and vibration isolation, mounting provisions, and stowage equipment integration across vehicle platforms supporting prototype and production builds.
Additional responsibilities may include seating systems, battery enclosures, hydraulics, fire suppression systems, and driver controls.
Key Responsibilities
•Design and integrate stowage systems and mounting provisions into vehicle platforms
•Develop mechanical solutions that meet performance, safety, environmental, ballistic, and mine blast requirements
•Conduct analysis of mechanical components, mechanisms, and shock attenuation systems
•Apply mechanics of materials, welding, fabrication, and material selection principles
•Perform tolerance stack-ups and support drawing mark-ups
•Generate engineering change documentation and source data
•Write material requests and shop work requests
•Participate in integration reviews and fit checks
•Support prototype builds and production vehicle integration efforts
•Conduct failure analysis and implement corrective action solutions
•Present design concepts and program status to engineering and program leadership
•Direct and oversee CAD model and drawing development
Required Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
•5–7+ years of related mechanical engineering experience
•Demonstrated understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals
•Experience supporting prototype and/or production build activities
•Experience performing root cause and corrective action investigations
•Solid modeling experience using NX and/or Creo
•Ability to travel up to 10% as required
•Ability to obtain a U.S. Security clearance
•U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
•Experience supporting ground combat vehicle programs
•Experience with shock/vibration isolation systems
•Experience with stowage integration and mounting bracket design
•Experience with Teamcenter and Vis Mockup
Work Environment Requirements
•Ability to work in office, shop, plant, lab, and vehicle integration environments
•Ability to climb on/off and work in/around military vehicles
•Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends as required
•Strong communication and collaborative skills
