Position Overview
Contract Professionals, Inc. Is seeking a System Design Engineer to support system and subsystem design, requirements development, integration, and verification activities within a ground vehicle environment.
This role focuses on Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), requirements traceability, and integration validation across physical, electrical, data, and software domains. The selected candidate will ensure system designs are fully defined, traceable, validated, and aligned through component and software levels.
Key Responsibilities
•Develop system and subsystem requirements, interfaces, and architecture within a Cameo-based MBSE environment
•Define and maintain traceability of system, subsystem, and software requirements
•Perform functional analysis and develop operational flows and concepts of execution
•Decompose performance and verification requirements into design-verification plans and reports
•Identify and manage power, data, and system interfaces
•Ensure alignment across physical, power, data, and software system domains
•Support system and subsystem integration and verification in lab and vehicle environments
•Develop and execute integration, test, and verification plans
•Provide technical inputs to schedules, cost estimates, and program planning
Required Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred)
•5–7 years of applicable systems engineering experience
•Strong experience in system/subsystem/software requirements development and testing
•MBSE experience using Cameo MagicDraw (or similar modeling tools)
•Capital Enterprise experience (or similar tool)
•Experience with CAN (J1939), Ethernet, and associated data analysis tools
•Experience with Requirements Manager (Teamcenter) and/or DOORs
•Experience troubleshooting complex systems and subsystems
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Ability to work onsite in offices, labs, test sites, and vehicles
•Ability to obtain a U.S. Security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
•Ground combat vehicle experience
•Experience working in vehicle integration environments
•Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Work Environment Requirements
•Onsite role
•Must be able to climb on/off and work in/around military vehicles
•Must be able to pass ASR (Anthropometric Size Requirement) test
•Occasional evening/weekend overtime may be required
