Job Title: Systems Engineer –Mechanical IPT Support
Location: McLeansville, NC (Onsite / Flex-Hybrid)
Position Type: Contract
Pay Rate: Up to $49.36/hour
Position Overview
Contract Professionals, Inc. Is seeking a Systems Engineer to support systems engineering, integration, and verification activities for a major maritime and strategic defense program.
This role supports mechanical Hardware Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and focuses on verification planning, requirements management, and test execution for deliverable mechanical system components.
Key Responsibilities
•Support system and subsystem requirements development and traceability
•Assist with verification planning and validation of mechanical components
•Develop and execute system-level verification and test plans
•Participate in integration and testing of large-scale mechanical systems
•Support requirements management and compliance tracking
•Contribute to system modeling activities within MBSE environments
•Provide technical support to mechanical IPT teams
Required Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or related STEM discipline
•2+ years of systems engineering experience (or Master’s plus 6 months)
•Experience with requirements development and management
•Experience supporting system verification and test planning
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance
•U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
•MBSE proficiency (MagicDraw/Cameo preferred)
•Experience with large-scale integrated mechanical systems
•Mechanical engineering background
•Experience in system test planning and execution
Work Environment
•Onsite with Flex/Hybrid capability
•9/80 schedule available
