Systems Engineer –CMOSS Mounted Form Factor (CMFF)
Location: Taunton, MA
Pay: Up to $73/hour
Work Type: Onsite
Schedule: 9/80 Work Schedule
Clearance: Ability to Obtain Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
Overview:
Seeking a Systems Engineer to support advanced CMOSS Mounted Form Factor (CMFF) defense systems. This role focuses on system integration, hardware/software troubleshooting, test development, and lifecycle engineering for next-generation military platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integrate advanced hardware including SBCs, FPGAs, GPUs, and OpenVPX systems
- Support full lifecycle system integration, testing, and validation
- Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and firmware issues
- Develop and execute system test procedures
- Support test automation and scripting activities
- Perform network analysis and troubleshooting using tools such as Wireshark
- Support virtualization environments including VMware and Linux virtual devices
- Generate technical documentation and support system accreditation activities
- Collaborate across engineering disciplines to deliver integrated defense solutions
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or related STEM field
- 5+ years of relevant experience (or Master’s with 3+ years)
- Experience with systems integration and lifecycle engineering
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Experience with requirements management and system modeling tools
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with OpenVPX chassis and card integration
- Familiarity with CMOSS and/or SOSA standards
- Experience with automated test scripting
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware/Linux)
- Network troubleshooting experience using Wireshark
- Experience supporting defense, embedded, or tactical systems
