Systems Engineer –Strategic Weapons Control
Location: Pittsfield, MA
Pay: Up to $49/hour
Work Type: Onsite (Hybrid Flex: 1–2 days remote)
Schedule: 9/80 Work Schedule
Clearance: Ability to Obtain Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)


Overview:
Seeking a Systems Engineer to support the modernization of strategic weapons control systems. This role involves requirements management, system integration, verification & validation, and cross-functional engineering collaboration on mission-critical defense programs.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Support development and modernization of strategic weapons systems
  • Perform requirements analysis, documentation, and management
  • Support system integration, testing, verification, and validation (V&V)
  • Assist with hardware/software integration and troubleshooting
  • Generate technical reports, test documentation, and design review packages
  • Collaborate across engineering disciplines and program teams
  • Participate in design reviews and customer interactions


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or related STEM field
  • 2+ years of relevant experience (or Master’s with 6+ months)
  • Understanding of systems engineering principles and lifecycle
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment


Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Fire Control Systems (FCS)
  • Experience with requirements management and system modeling tools
  • Background in hardware/software integration and testing
  • Experience in defense or aerospace systems
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled engineering tools
