Systems Engineer –Strategic Weapons Control
Location: Pittsfield, MA
Pay: Up to $49/hour
Work Type: Onsite (Hybrid Flex: 1–2 days remote)
Schedule: 9/80 Work Schedule
Clearance: Ability to Obtain Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
Overview:
Seeking a Systems Engineer to support the modernization of strategic weapons control systems. This role involves requirements management, system integration, verification & validation, and cross-functional engineering collaboration on mission-critical defense programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support development and modernization of strategic weapons systems
- Perform requirements analysis, documentation, and management
- Support system integration, testing, verification, and validation (V&V)
- Assist with hardware/software integration and troubleshooting
- Generate technical reports, test documentation, and design review packages
- Collaborate across engineering disciplines and program teams
- Participate in design reviews and customer interactions
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or related STEM field
- 2+ years of relevant experience (or Master’s with 6+ months)
- Understanding of systems engineering principles and lifecycle
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Fire Control Systems (FCS)
- Experience with requirements management and system modeling tools
- Background in hardware/software integration and testing
- Experience in defense or aerospace systems
- Familiarity with AI-enabled engineering tools
