Systems Engineer
Job Description
Location: Sterling Heights, MI
Salary Range: $100, 000 - $110, 000
Role Overview:
The Systems Engineer will analyze requirements, develop system architecture, and perform SysML modeling to ensure successful integration of cutting-edge combat vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and allocate system requirements to subsystems and components.
- Develop operational and functional concepts for military vehicles.
- Perform SysML modeling, including behavior and structural designs.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals.
- Create and maintain product and subsystem specifications.
- Support the development of critical item specifications and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Aerospace). Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience:
- 3–5 years in systems engineering (DoD programs preferred).
- Knowledge of SysML modeling and requirements development.
- Experience with tools like MagicDraw Cameo and DOORS Next Gen.
- Familiarity with configuration control and baseline management.
- Preferred:
- Knowledge of military standards and systems engineering processes (ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288).
- Ability to obtain a SECRET U.S. Defense clearance.
Physical Requirements & Travel:
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. And stand for long periods.
- Travel up to 25%, including occasional international travel.
