Tactical Radio Embedded Software Engineer
Job Description
Location: Colorado Springs, CO or Fort Wayne, IN
Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract

As a Tactical Radio Embedded Software Engineer, you’ll work in a collaborative environment designing and building resilient software solutions that enable secure communications in challenging, contested environments. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded software applications using C/C++
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software and hardware components
- Debug, test, and optimize embedded systems for performance and reliability
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in software development
- Document software designs, code, and testing procedures
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and established processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 2+ years of relevant experience (or Master’s degree)
- Proficiency in C and/or C++ programming
- U.S. Citizenship (required)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
- Experience with low-level driver development
- Familiarity with unit test frameworks
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as UART, SPI, and I2C
- Experience with Agile development practices
- Background in digital signal processing (DSP)
- Knowledge of Rust, Python, or MATLAB
- Advanced Linux experience (drivers, networking, system services)
- Multi-threaded or multi-core programming
- Network protocols and socket programming
- Cryptographic techniques and secure boot
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
- Position may be on-site in Colorado Springs, CO or Fort Wayne, IN
- U.S. Citizenship is required due to government contract requirements
