Technical Writer --- Vehicle Systems
We are looking for a talented technical writer to join our team to create technical publications for agricultural and construction vehicles.
The position supports the definition and creation of diagnostic procedures to support the service network in the identification and resolution of fault codes and troubleshooting.
The role requires the ability to fully understand complex electronics, schematics and know how about failures and symptoms, and diagnostic tools.
Construction or agricultural machinery, or automotive world experience is required.
The products and documentation involve a wide range of technologies, including a variety of electrical controls and sensors, large mechanical/automotive powertrain assemblies, touchscreen interfaces, automation and computer controls, and hydraulic systems.
Two or more years of technical writing experience in electrical/electronic vehicle systems to draw up parts related to troubleshooting and testing of components troubleshooting.
Construction or agricultural machinery, or automotive world experience is required.Research experience with engineering source materials, BOMs, drawings, and CAD models
Experience authoring in a markup language, such as XMLExperience with Adobe illustration tools
Basic mechanical ability to disassemble and reassemble components. Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic concepts.
Strong experience in electrical/electronic vehicle systems to draw up parts related to troubleshooting and testing of components
Ability to communicate the safe use of tools and equipment for operators and technicians
Experience with construction, automotive, mining, heavy equipment, or other mechanical products or technologies is highly desire
