Contract Professionals, Inc. (CPI) is seeking a Test Engineer to support the Space Force Golden Dome Program, developing and testing mission-critical systems that advance national defense and space technologies. In this role, you’ll design, integrate, and automate testing for complex software platforms that support high-priority missions within the Space and Intelligence domains.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, integrate, test, and improve software services and platforms within a cross-functional Agile team

Collaborate with engineering leadership to build quality and testability into all solutions

Develop and execute automated and manual testing within a CI/CD environment
-
Create test plans, cases, and scripts to qualify new features and validate system performance
-
Implement and troubleshoot automated tests during sprint cycles
-
Verify installations, conduct acceptance testing, and document results
-
Participate in design and code reviews to ensure system reliability
-
Support technical documentation, reviews, and reporting across the software development lifecycle

Contribute to a culture of technical excellence, curiosity, and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field
–plus 8+ years of related experience, or a Master’s degree plus 6 years
-
U.S. Citizenship required (due to contract and security requirements)
-
Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance
-
Strong understanding of software integration and automated testing methodologies
-
Experience with DevSecOps tools (e.G., Jenkins, GitLab Runner) and test automation frameworks (e.G., Selenium, TestComplete, Cucumber, JMeter)

Working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments, scripting, and deployment tools such as Ansible

Familiarity with Cloud and Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, or Red Hat OpenStack)
-
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Experience supporting Agile development environments
