Test Engineer –Tactical Communications
Scottsdale, AZ
Up to $44.00/hour
Position Overview
Seeking a Test Engineer to support integration, verification, and validation of embedded tactical communications systems. This role works within a cross-functional engineering team to test and validate mission-critical hardware and software solutions using the Unified Testing Framework (UTF).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute system test plans, procedures, and diagnostics

  • Perform functional, environmental, operational, and performance testing

  • Support integration of hardware, firmware, and software systems

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python (3.9+)

  • Design test fixtures, equipment, and troubleshooting methods

  • Implement verification and validation (V&V) methodologies

  • Support Agile development and system integration activities

  • Document test procedures, results, and reports

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related STEM field

  • 2+ years of relevant experience, OR

  • Master’s degree with 6 months of relevant experience

Key Skills

  • Experience with test engineering concepts and methodologies

  • Object-oriented programming and scripting experience

  • Experience with signal analyzers, signal generators, or USRP test equipment

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Ability to work in collaborative engineering environments

Work Environment

  • Fully onsite

  • Location: Scottsdale, AZ
