Thermal Spray Technician
Location: Franklin, OH
Hours: 6 am - 3: 30 pm
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Pay Rate: $20 - $25 per hour (Depending on Experience)

Role of Sprayer: The Thermal Spray Technician plays a crucial role in the application of various thermal spray coatings using specialized equipment and techniques. The ideal candidate will possess a working knowledge of thermal spray processes and application methods, ensuring the production of high-quality parts within specified tolerances and specifications.

Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare surfaces for coating application through cleaning, grit blasting, and masking.
  2. Set up and operate thermal spray equipment, including plasma arc, flame spray, or HVOF systems.
  3. Monitor and adjust equipment settings for desired coating thickness and quality.
  4. Select and prepare materials according to specifications.
  5. Apply thermal spray coatings to components based on engineering drawings and job requirements.
  6. Conduct inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  7. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on thermal spray equipment.
  8. Maintain accurate records of coating processes, materials usage, and equipment maintenance.
  9. Follow safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
  10. Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize coating processes.
Requirements:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent;additional technical training or certification in thermal spray technology preferred.
  2. Proven experience as a Thermal Spray Technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  3. Proficient in operating thermal spray equipment (plasma arc, flame spray, or HVOF systems).
  4. Strong understanding of thermal spray coating processes, materials, and techniques.
  5. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  6. Excellent attention to detail and quality control skills.
  7. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
  8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  10. Commitment to adhering to safety guidelines and protocols.
