Vice President of Business Development (Electronic Interconnect industry)
Job Description
We're partnering with a leading manufacturer in the electronic interconnect industry to find an experienced VP of Business Development. This is a high-impact role focused on driving growth, expanding customer base, and leading sales efforts on the West Coast.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of business development experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Deep knowledge of the electronic interconnect industry and a strong network of contacts.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required. Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/ Business MBA preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office;Salesforce experience is a plus.
- Must be excited about an individual contributor role, meeting personal sales goals while also managing a team effectively.
- Proven experience in sales or business development, with a track record of achieving targets.
- Understanding of ISO 9001 Quality / RoHs Compliance, ITAR, and Industry NAICS’Codes and Standards’Committee Guidelines important to overall effectiveness
- Salesforce experience a plus.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required to establish and maintain business relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic business plans to grow revenue and market share.
- Conduct market analysis and track industry trends to identify new opportunities.
- Lead sales teams in hitting targets and promoting a culture of excellence.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients and industry partners.
- Negotiate contracts and manage partnerships for favorable outcomes.
- Oversee product and service expansion to meet evolving market demands.
Location: West Coast/Western US preferred (Remote with travel) or close to major airport in middle US
Compensation: $180K-200K + commission (Direct Hire Role)
