This is an entry level position for a Workspace Support Technician. You will be assisting the Helpdesk Technicians in the responsibilities and assignments below.
Duties and Tasks:
- Possess necessary computer skills to proficiently handle routine tasks Performs a variety of duties in support of end-point computing devices, and peripherals.
- The primary responsibility of this position is to build and prepare computers to refresh end user computers.
- Responds to and diagnoses problems and answers queries regarding computer hardware, software, printers, network as part of the refresh.
- Maintains and updates records and tracking databases.
- Installs hardware and peripheral components, such as computers, network/telecom, monitors, keyboards, printers and disk drives.
- Loads and verifies correct operation of software packages, such as operating system, word processing and spreadsheet programs.
- Responsible for configuring desktop, laptop and thin client computers.
- Maintains an inventory of all equipment, hardware, software and supplies.
Knowledge Skills And Abilities:
- Displays high performance attributes.
- Basic ability to work on assignments that are routine in nature.
- Basic customer focus, communication and collaborative skills consistent with expectations for position
Education Required:
High School diploma or equivalent is required plus a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
